Week 3 Thursday Night Football | New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers
The New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers play on Thursday Night, Sept. 21 in an NFL Week 3 Match-up at Levi's Stadium in California.
Match Up Predictor | NFL Predictions
The Giants are coming from the biggest comeback win in their franchise history when they beat the Arizona Cardinals 31 - 28. This caused for a celebration, but they know it won't be as easy this week against the powerhouse San Francisco 49ers (2-0).
Xavier McKinney mentioned "We can't keep having slow starts. We just have to correct it." and in order for the team to have a chance against the 49ers, Daniel Jones needs to play the way he did in that second half against Arizona.
Accomplishing that for the Giants (1-1) will be a lot harder without star running back Saquon Barkley, who will miss at least this weeks game after spraining his ankle late in the win against Arizona.
"Daniel has got his job to do, just like the running backs have their job, the receivers, the offensive line," coach Brian Daboll said. "It's individually taking care of your responsibility, whatever that may be and doing your job at a high level."
The 49ers are favorites to win this game and seeing that the Giants don't have their start running back, they will struggle to get the game started. I can see the 49ers taking the lead and there is a small chance that Daniel Jones will figure out a way to get back in the game, but it won't be enough to win.
